You don’t need a huge following or chart placements – the song comes first for music supervisors and editors. If it fits the scene, then it has a good chance of being used. Sync fees range from around £300 (background TV) to £30,000 (trailers or high-end adverts) for a great track from an upcoming artist. PLUS you get the ongoing broadcast royalties from PRS/ASCAP etc.
